What This Is
Musically Nowlin is an educational platform that provides interactive music games for classroom use. It's built by a music teacher for music teachers. These terms cover what you can expect from the service and what we expect from you.
The Service
Musically Nowlin is provided as-is for educational use. We work hard to keep things running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. Occasional maintenance, updates, and the realities of running a small project mean there may be brief interruptions. We will always do our best to minimize disruption.
Free and Premium Tiers
The free tier is available indefinitely — it is not a trial. It includes all core games and basic class management. Premium features (such as unlimited classes, advanced analytics, and curriculum tools) require a paid subscription. Pricing and feature availability may change, but we will always give notice before any changes affect existing subscribers.
Teacher Responsibilities
Teachers are responsible for managing their own classes, including creating class codes and maintaining their offline student rosters. Since students don't create accounts, class management is entirely in the teacher's hands. Keep your account credentials secure — you're responsible for activity under your account.
Educational Content
All games and content are designed for educational use and aligned to music education standards. The platform is a practice and reinforcement tool — it supports what teachers have introduced in the classroom, not a replacement for instruction.
Your Data
We don't claim ownership of session data or class data. Teachers own their class information. Session data (scores, timing, game results) is stored to provide analytics and reporting to teachers. Session data is retained for up to two school years and then automatically purged. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what is stored, how long it is kept, and how to request deletion.
Account Termination
Teachers can delete their account at any time. When an account is deleted, all associated data — classes, session records, student display names, and account information — is permanently removed. You can also email support@musicallynowlin.com to request deletion on your behalf. We process deletion requests within 30 days.
Acceptable Use
Please use Musically Nowlin for its intended purpose: music education. Don't use automated tools to scrape the platform, don't attempt to circumvent access controls, and don't interfere with other users' experience. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If something changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and note the date. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
